Chicago Fire Media Guide (1974):Chuck was an all-Big Ten choice and earned All-America mention with the Spartans, playing both defensive tackle and end. Also an eager performer on special teams. Played in East-West Shrine Game.

Chicago Winds Media Guide (1975):A defensive tackle for the WINDS, Chuck was a standout at both tackle and end for Duffy Daugherty at Michigan State. Among his awards are: SPORTING NEWS All-American, A.P. & U.P.I. All-American Honorable Mention, and All Big Ten. A strong pass rusher, Chuck had 13 quarterback sacks for Chicago (WFL) in 1974.
