Bell Rings for Phillips The long wait to play professional football appears only hours away for John Phillips. The Philadelphia Bell of the fledgling World Football Leauge yesterday indicated that Phillips, a punter-linebacker, would be activated for tomorrow night's game against the Detroit Wheels at JFK Stadium. In another deal, Wayne Whye, out of Howard High, near Wilmington and the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore, has been swapped by the Chicago Fire to the Hawaiians. |
